New Books Progress

Shadow Song

I’d originally hoped to have Shadow Song, a historical fantasy, released early this summer. Formatting problems and proofreading took much longer than anticipated, and so release has been pushed back and back, so that even the September release isn’t going to happen.
Where am I at now? Waiting for the second proof copy to arrive, which should be here by the end of the month. The cover has been redesigned, an improvement I think. After the proof arrives it will take a few days to review. Hopefully this time there won’t be any errors. All being well, I should be able to approve the proof no later than the second week of September. Then wait six to eight weeks for cataloguing information to feed out into the distribution network.
Advance, signed copies of Shadow Song will be available through our online catalogue for those who wish to purchase directly. Advance copies can also be purchased through Lulu Publishing.
By mid-November Shadow Song should be available online through Chapters/Indigo (if I’ve met their strict criteria), Amazon, For Borders, W.H. Smith and many other online booksellers throughout North America, the EU and Australia and New Zealand. If you wish to purchase the book through your local bookstore, simply give them the ISBN 978-1-4303-1294-9 and have them order Shadow Song through their distributor.
And the Angels Sang

Work continues on the speculative fiction short story anthology And the Angels Sang. I’m proofing galleys at the moment and should have that finished by the end of next week, provided Mr. Murphy doesn’t come for tea. That done I’ll order a proof copy which will take about three weeks to arrive, then review the proof for any formatting and typesetting errors, upload changes, review the revised galleys — another week — and then approve release.
All being well, signed, advance copies will be available through our website by October 15, 2007. Advance copies can also be purchased through Lulu Publishing. By mid-December And the Angels Sang should be available through online booksellers throughout North America, the EU and Australia and New Zealand.
