… has become interesting. I remember a time I used to joke with Gary that if I won a huge lottery I’d buy my own publishing house. Here I am decades later and have in fact developed my own publishing house thanks to advancements in printing and distribution technologies. The journeys of life never cease to amaze me.

Released January 1, sales of Paul Lima’s book, How to Write a Non-fiction Book in 60 Days, are proving brisk, and certainly the reviews he’s garnering are more than a little encouraging. Very, very pleased to have this book as part of our repertoire.

Paul will be involved in a series of promotional engagements over the next few months. We’re working on a talk and book signing at the World’s Greatest Bookstore in Toronto, and awaiting confirmation on that. Also hope to set up another signing at Coles in Orangeville in the early spring. In addition to that a virtual book tour is slated to begin the next few weeks, along with an interactive web broadcast. Elephant’s Breath & London Smoke

We’re one step closer to releasing Deb Salisbury’s monumental and remarkable book, Elephant’s Breath & London Smoke: Historic Colour Names, Definitions & Uses. I’ve just sent galleys off to Deb. We’re in the layout tweaking stage at this point. It’s likely the book will be released sometime in February, and then be available from your favourite online bookseller, in both print and eBook format, by the end of February or early March. Frankly, I’m stunned by the breath and scope of the book, and am very proud to be the publisher of this landmark work. It is my belief Elephant’s Breath & London Smoke will become the historic garment researcher’s indispensable tool, just as the Janet Arnold books have become.

Deb also informs me she’s busy working on the next book in the series, Samite & Satin, which will do for textile definitions what Elephant’s Breath & London Smoke has.
