In what has been a day filled with frustration and stress, I’ve just received some of the best news I’ve had in months.
The buyers at Indigo have agreed to stock And the Angels Sang and Shadow Song in the following locations:
- Coles, 150 First Street, Orangeville, Ontario
- Smith Books, Heritage Mall, Owen Sound, Ontario
- Chapters, Stone Road Mall, Guelph, Ontario
While this may seem something trivial to celebrate, for me, a micro-publisher and self-publishing author, battling the stigma of self-publishing and POD, this is a major victory. This coupled with Five Rivers’ vendor status with the Indigo giant, and our global distribution through Ingram, places us in an even better competitive position in the market place.
Baby steps. It’s all in determination, producing a quality product, and never giving up.
