I was at Smith Books in Owen Sound, Ontario this past Saturday, October 10, part of my fall promotional tour for my new novel, From Mountains of Ice. The day was a great success, with us selling about half our stock.

Some of the highlights of the day were meeting with old friend Scott Caple purely by chance, and an enthusiastic young man who had seen the promotional posters at Smith Books, was intrigued, and came in specifically to purchase a signed copy of the book. Talk about effective marketing!

As it is, Lisa Clements, manager at Smith Books, was so hyped about the sales figures and response, that she’s invited me back for a Midnight Madness event, Friday, December 11. While the event isn’t quite confirmed as yet, it looks like I’ll be there from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m., a great opportunity for Christmas shoppers to pick up a signed copy of From Mountains of Ice for themselves or someone on their list.
