When Words Collide 2012

Looks like they’re having fun without me at When Words Collide 2012 this year. Robert Runte, our intrepid Editor in Chief, is there manning our dealer table, doing interviews, discussing at panels, and hosting our huge book launch (featuring Mik Murdoch: Boy Superhero, Immunity to Strange Tales, Things Falling Apart, and Kingmaker’s Sword.) Michell Plested and J.W. Scharr, gentlemen all, have also rolled up their sleeves, put on the Five Rivers t-shirts (really, we have some very cool t-shirts!), and are regaling people at our dealer’s table.

In fact, Michell Plested sent me these images from his cell phone earlier today. Image quality isn’t great, but thought I’d share anyway, for those of you who are also missing out on the fun out in Calgary.

See the great books that are launching!

August 12 Update:

Apparently the book launch went very well, with readings from Michell Plested (apparently have almost sold out of our stock of Mik Murdoch: Boy Superhero), J.W. Schnarr and Susan Forest, and Ann Marston talked about the history of her Rune Blades of Celi series. And our gallant and erudite H.A. Hargreaves gave a well-received talk.

Pitches were pitched. People networked. Sounds like it’s all going swimmingly well while I’m back in Ontario wrestling with a new backup server.

Oh, and many thanks to Paula Johanson for helping to sit our dealer table. Very much appreciated.

Found this image from the convention and thought I’d share:
