Tuesday’s Musings

Yesterday’s mail brought me yet another royalty cheque from the Marion Zimmer Bradley Trust for the short story, Smile of the Goddess, which appeared in MZB’s Sword and Sorceress X, and which also appears in my anthology, And the Angels Sang. This cheque was for my pro-rata share of Italian sales.

Yep, definitely the life of a writer is financially rewarding. This cheque is for $1.09US, which will garner me $1.14CDN today. Hot damn.

On another note, And the Angels Sang is now showing up with online booksellers throughout North America and the EU. I’m working on Chapters and hope to see it up within the next two weeks. Once that’s in place I can go ahead and arrange the book launch, hopefully with Coles in Orangeville, Ontario. Stay tuned.

In the same vane, I received a query today from Roxanne’s Reflections Book and Card Shop in Elora, Ontario, regarding the possibility of carrying my books. We’ll see how that develops.

In the meantime I’ve uploaded the revised version of Shadow Song to Lightning Source (my POD printer), ordered a proof, and should be able to have the second edition released early October. Fabulous new cover for it I think you’re all going to love.

Once all that’s in place, and the book signing schedule set for the fall, I can finally get back to writing the current cultural fantasy, From Mountains of Ice.
