From Mountains of Ice Progress

Made great progress today on my new fantasy novel, From Mountains of Ice. I’m at about 25,000, approaching the conclusion of the first third of the book, which should take me to about 40,000 words.
The premise of the story deals with a man’s loss of honour, and is a story of betrayals and reconciliations, and the depths to which love can push a person. There is an Renaissance Italian overtone to the novel, although the geographical setting is purely fantastical. And there is very much an undercurrent of death and death rituals, although the novel is not ghoulish nor Gothic.
So far, I’m very pleased. Sylvio di Danuto, my protagonist, is very much alive and dictating what is to come next.
