Celestine Prophecy – DVD

Oh yawn. Don’t bother. Watched the DVD last night. Mediocre acting, cinematography, screenplay. Will be reading the novel in a few weeks and see if that’s any better than this very underwhelming film.

Harry Potter – The Order of the Phoenix

In a word: Fabulous! Despite some liberal tweaking of the novel, the pace and story of this installment of the series is excellent. The acting is better and better. Some very artistic and adept cinematography that does everything to portray Harry’s isolation and urgency in those scenes of action. The film very skillfully echoes the darkness of the novel, and is in a way a coming of age for both Harry and the film series….
