Parkdale Library, Toronto
On a September night in 1956, a 7-year-old child was brutally murdered on the grounds of the Canadian National Exhibition. Police accused 14-year-old Ronald Moffatt of the crime, forcing a confession from him. Problem was, Ron was innocent and the actual killer murdered two more children before being caught.
Author and crime specialist Nate Hendley explores the story that had all of Parkdale on edge with a reading from his latest book The Boy on the Bicycle, followed by a Q&A!
Part of the Sunnyside Historical Society’s True Crime Series.
