In 1988 Del Rey published a novel called The Loremasters, by Canadian author, Leslie Gadallah. The novel did respectably well on the sales charts and then quietly disappeared from print. The timeless nature of the novel attracted Five Rivers, and so discussion occurred between Editor-in-Chief Robert Runte and Leslie Gadallah.
